I've had enough!
Seriously!

Ready... Set... Rant!

I'm not the worlds best arena-fighter. I know this. But still, I feel I should be doing a bit better than what me and Nemedor (on his hunter) is doing right now.

It goes fairly well for a while when we first sit down and play some games, and then *BOOM* we get hit so hard by a few teams... like running face-first into the proverbial wall. Especially Rogue/Warlock, Deathknight/Paladin, Hunter/Paladin teams who semi-know what they are doing just has the easiest time with us. I feel like such a ragdoll when we face, say, a hunter and a paladin. The paladin keeps running around to remove everything I have to battle the hunters CC, while providing some pretty powerful CC of his own. And if I try to use my measly CC on him, he can avoid it or break it quite easily. Freezing trap -> wyvern -> hammer of justice -> repentance isn't uncomming. That's a pretty nasty stunlock-rotation right there, which I'm helpless to counter if my trinket is on cooldown.

I feel that as a resto-shaman (or should I say healer - overlooking the currently overpowered holypaladins) I have to play twice as well as many of the other classes to even stand a chance at winning. With all the burst going on these days, if I miss a heal, or misjudge the incoming damage even the slightest, it'll cost us a win. You think the damage-dealing classes have the same problem? Yeeeeeaaaahhh... no. Not by a longshot. In worst case they have to redo their CC-rotation. My heard bleeds for their incredible disadvantage.

There's a lot of resto-shamans high up in the ratings this season. I'm not contesting this. I am however going to boldly claim that many of these players are very, very good PvP'ers who've had a lot of practice in earlier seasons - in addition to being coupled up with a deathknight, affliction-warlock or hunter of their own. I don't see a high-rated resto-shaman and think "boy, shitty faceroller". I doubt many do. You see a resto-shaman with 2300 rating and you know he's good for it.

Honestly, I think a lot of the higher-rated shamans might be facing off against teams who simply don't understand how to shut them down. I've met quite a few (1900+) teams who simply don't understand 3 simple things: 1) A resto-shaman with a DPS class constantly on him will go oom very fast if forced to earthshield himself. 2) My earthshield is very important to my healing efficiency. You swap targets a lot you'll stress me the hell out while draining my mana. 3) Move around. Don't let me have the scenery-advantage.

The biggest killer is totem-stoming. The fact that I have to keep a close eye on my totems at all times while at the same time having to deal with all the CC and debuffs any other class has to deal with is quite annoying. Blizzard keeps saying they're going to deal with the totem-stomping macros. But it's not going to be handled in time for the next season either. That's great. What is it now... 6 or 7 seasons where they know about the problem, but can't fix it? Hah... give totems 2000 hp and it's fixed. If you really want to kill a totem, you can still do it, but you have to use a bit more time or a cooldown to get the job done. That's the way it's supposed to be. I spit at Warlock/Rogue teams who can keep me locked out of the entire fight. It's nothing more than a rehersed order of macro-inputs.

I saw a video of a 2600+ rated deathknight fighting several high-rated teams. It left my mouth open and my brain thinking "I can do that blindfolded". All he does is swap target a few times while spamming his normal cooldowns. Oh, the difficulty!

I am sick and tired of getting killed to autopilot-teams like Rogue/Mage, Mage/Mage, Mage/Warlock, Rogue/Warlock, Retribution/Deathknight etc. without being able to defend myself. I am sick and tired of fighting an uphill battle against teams with better abilities than us, or abilities designed to counter ours. And quite honestly, Where's the teams I'm overpowered against? Shadowpriest/Restodruid maybe? Yeah, right.

This is not PvP anymore. This is PvD (Player vs. Developer). This is rock, paper, scissor. This is MyBrute.

You want to do some proper PvP? Go play a shooter, a fighter or a strategy game. And if you get nostalgic to the WoW Arena, i.e. losing to scrubs who are worse than you, just disconnect your keyboard for a while. Voila - same effect.

...It's too bad the game I like to play can't offer me both PvE and PvP integrity. Oh my god, I almost sounded like I though WoW still had PvE integrity didn't I? Hahahahahahaha...aha.a......ha.....h. I smell a cancelled subscription one of these days.
